Before you head off to pack your luggage, do be aware of the dress code in Saudi Arabia. As this is a conservative Islamic country, modesty is of utmost importance. Both male and female travellers are therefore encouraged to cover their shoulders and knees at all times, as exposing them in public is considered by many locals to be taboo and inappropriate.
While jeans are still allowed, it is recommended that you avoid wearing form-fitting ones, such as skinny jeans. Female tourists are not required to don a headscarf or abaya robe-like dress, a common clothing combination adopted by many local women, but you are free to try them on while exploring the beautiful sights of Saudi Arabia.
Similarly, male visitors are not required to wear a jubah robe during their time there, but can do so if you wish to.
